bracelets found here and here // ike and co

I've had these shoes for  a few years now and they are seriously a favorite of mine!  I also had a brown pair that I completely wore out.  Don't you hate it when that happens???

pearl necklace - ike and co

Those bracelets again!  I made a set for the shop and I set for myself and I find that I wear them almost every.single.day.  I really love to stack all four that I have together for a chunkier look.  Such fun!

If you've been around for awhile, or follow me on instagram or know me in real life, then you already know that my just turned 11 year old daughter has soon mad skills.  She can crochet like no one's business.  This one isn't crocheted (I'm pretty sure that she made it on a loom) but I am completely in love with it, none the less.

I love post earrings.  Truly.  I almost never have any in my shop, so its something I almost always ask for as gifts or look for on etsy.  This delightful pair came from tru.che.

More stacking bracelets from my shop.  I seriously cannot get enough of them!  The top one are the birthstones of my children - pearl and amethyst.  The bottom is a fabulous multi-gemstone.

My new favorite dress. {WIWW}

I saw this dress at the Loft over the Christmas holidays - not on sale - and not during a time when I should be spending money on myself.  But I loved it.

So I waited.  And waited.  And finally they had a new arrivals sale and I snatched it up!  I am so very glad that I did!  I love it!  I've worn it a few different ways now, this is just the day that I happened to remember to take pictures... {and I know that you're excited about my slightly blurry cell phone pics}

boots {target -a few years ago}
green cardi {banana republic outlet}

necklace - IKE & CO
earrings - IKE & CO

{I loved this set so much that I made one for you and one for me!  I love this necklace because it also works perfectly to be wrapped around your wrist for a chunky bracelet!  And the colors are perfect for Spring!}

**For what it's worth, one of the reviews on line said that it was too long...For me it is absolutely perfect!  I am almost 5'8 and it hits a little above my knee - still great to wear with tights and boots - and long enough to wear to work and not feel awkward.  My plan for the spring is to wear it with my converse.  Just in case you were wondering.

WIWW {a new beginning}

It feels like forever since I've done a What I Wore post.  I stopped doing them for two reasons...

1.  I wake up at 5:30 and leave the house at 6:30.  My eyelids are barely open.  Smiles are almost nonexistent.  Taking pictures is the last thing that I want to do.

2.  By the time I get home in the evenings, I look a hot mess.  Wrinkled.  Untucked.  Saggy knees.  You know.

For weeks I keep saying, if I could just get my act together on Sunday, map out my week, take a few pictures, it could happen.  For weeks I have said this.

This weekend, the planets aligned and it happened.

So, starting with what I wore to run errands on Sunday, this is what I will be wearing for the rest of the week...

1.  gray and white shirt - gap, jeans - curvy straights from gap outlet, red birkenstocks

Here's a little story (and perhaps only my mother is interested)...  When I visited my Gram in January (for the big interview) she surprised me by giving me her original wedding ring set.  See, she and my Papa got married young.  Super young.  Like he brought her to his senior prom as his wifeScreeeeeeech.  Can you believe that???  He had bought her a small (but simple and sweet) engagement ring and matching wedding band.  She wore it until she broke the back the band of her engagement ring.  And then for their 25th Anniversary he gave her a beautiful diamond band that she still wears today.  Her first wedding set had been back in the box since the mid 1970's.

But she gave it to me.  And it was probably the best gift she ever could have given me.  I love it that she thought of me and wanted me - her first granddaughter - to have it.

I also really, really love rings.  During the summer I usually only wear a band...I don't work during the summer, my fingers swell in the heat...blah, blah, blah...  But lately, this is the combo that I have been wearing and I love seeing it on my finger... {I think my Papa would have loved seeing it too.}

What I Wore Wednesday Week 21

 Linking up with Lindsey for another WIWW!

yellow and gray sweater - banana republic outlet
gray tank - gap
jeans - banana republic outlet
gray bow ballet flats - sperry @ rack room shoes

I am in love with these shoes.  They are seriously my new favorites.  They actually have cushioning and AN ARCH inside....rare for ballet flats!  And I have found that I wear the gray A LOT!

It actually started to feel like fall this weekend.  Amazing.  And then it was 85 again.  BUT, while it was a little cool and breezy, Chris and I decided to take a family outing to the outlets.  Perfect weather to walk around outside!  And to buy some new boots...

purple sweater - banana republic outlet
skinny jeans - gap outlet
cords - bass outlet
black slouch boots - bass outlet
brown leather boots - bass outlet

No joke, the Bass outlet had a GREAT deal going on...buy one pair of shoes get 2 free.  Soooooo, I got two pairs of boots and Chris got a pair of work shoes.  So excited!  I hate shopping for winter.  Really.  I am always cold and so all I want is to put on a sweatshirt and my slippers (thanks, mom!).  Looking cute vs. being warm?  Um, yeah, warm is ALWAYS going to win.  And last year I desperately wanted new boots, but couldn't decide which ones to get and I am SUPER cheap.  Super.  So, before we went shopping we made a list of what everyone needed...Chris needed new work shoes, I wanted a pair of boots so we were going to shop at Rack Room...but then the deal at Bass and well, enough said.  Then I didn't have to decide between black and brown boots.  Now I just need it to get a little bit colder, because I feel kind of foolish wearing boots when it is 85 degrees outside.  Just sayin.

What I Wore Wednesday Week 17

Linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday!

God knows its been at least a month since I wrote one of these posts.  In part, its been because for the month of July I was hitting the gym more days than not (deserves a whole post on its own) and so then I was in gym clothes.  Not really cute clothes.  Although some gym clothes are indeed really cute.  Just not mine.  :)  The other reason is because I just kept forgetting to take pictures.  Shame on me.
