I love old cemeteries and finally made time to take the girls to Woodbine in downtown Jefferson. A historical treasure chest! We have plans to go back before it gets cold.
Wow! That's a big sweaty face! This was Saturday morning when I ran (actually ran) for a full twelve minute mile. I repeat, I ran the whole entire time. And then I walked a mile. And then I ate funnel cake at the carnival.
Kids playing in the corn box at the corn maze. Kind of yuck, if you ask me. :)
Corn mazin' it!
And then, just when our kids thought the day couldn't get any better... Yep, dinner at the mall carnival!
The tilt-a-whirl is my all time favorite ride.
Seriously. I rode with the girls first and taught them how to pull on
the handle and lean - makes you spin faster. Oh, how my cousin Beth and
I loved this ride!
Sunday morning 3.2 miles and I (finally) hit my 50 mile goal. Now I just need to find time to go to Athens Running Co to pick up some new shoes. Yep, 50 miles = Mama gets new shoes!
Peridot earrings made for a sweet friend!
Quinn and I spent some time spelling words with his letter stickers...and then we stickered up our faces. Fun with spelling. That's my motto.
I was working the other night and kept catching myself looking up at this - silhouette of Chan, love block from bubblewrappd, postcard from Pam Garrison, lovely fabric, lime walls...it certainly makes working a little more fun.
While I was working hard, Q was also working hard. Cut and paste, Baby, cut and paste.
Bikey (as Quinn calls him) was definitely NOT working hard. Just sayin.
dinner: cracked pepper chicken, sauteed brussell sprouts in lemon, sauteed spinach and mushrooms, and a BIG salad!
Yay! FINALLY...a smiley face day! They seem hard to come by any more.
My favorite plate (I wish I had bought ten of them) with my favorite pizza (spinach white pizza).
Quinn was a hot mess when I picked him up from school. I swear he must eat the dirt on the playground. This is the front view...
This is the back...
Yep. That's a missing chunk of hair. There are 10 chops like that all over his head...courtesy of another 4 year old.

Nothing like a great pair of rain boots!!!!
Can I tell you how much I love Instagram Friday? Well, I love it a lot. And Congrats on 50 miles! Woohoo!
Oh, my goodness! Love the style of the decor in your home! And so sad that your son's teacher does those little frowny/smiley face things to show how his day went - I am a teacher and a mom, and I just think that it is the saddest thing for a kid to see a frowny face and have to show Mom. Give him a hug from the weird blogger lady from the link-up :).
I totally feel your smiley face pain. We had a stupid stuffed bumble bee that Jonah brought home for good days in kindergarten. Needless to say, he has been traumatized by Buzzy. He thought he wasn't good for an entire year in first grade because he didn't bring his Buzzy home everyday in Kindergarten. Oh, what I would love to say to that teacher. So freshscratch.net - I love you for being the kind of teacher you are.
Love, Angie's Sister in Law
Wow! That Quinn is a mess! Is that what I have to look forward to with my boy?
