Pool Fort and More!

After work yesterday we ate dinner, packed our bags and headed out to Meme's and Pops' house for an over nighter.  It's really the best way to go out there.  Mom gets more Meme time in that way and really, Meme time is all that she wants in life. 

I am really terrible about taking pictures when we are out at my parents' house.  So I vowed that I would do a better job of it this go round.  That last approx. 8 minutes this morning.

When I say that my parents' live in the woods, I am really not kidding.  The woods, People, the woods.

"Over the river and through the woods..."  Yep, that was written about going to their house.

Bikey loves being out there.  Like really, really loves being out there.  Here he is being a happy, social dog.

The kids decided to build a pool fort using the diving board and every flotation device they could find.  It took them most of the morning to come up with this floor plan.  What?  You don't see the three bedrooms?  Sheesh.

Mom made a billion pounds of potato salad and cole slaw.  She also made this summer salad - a favorite - watermelon salad - with baby lettuces, Gorgonzola cheese, pecans, and a dressing made with green pepper jelly and rice vinegar.  Yum!

We've decided we're going out there once a month.  With the kids and the dog and then Chris and I will be having date night...a kidless trip to Target or Home Depot...or maybe even a movie night.  :)
