I'm Alive!

Sunday night we went Christmas Caroling with our church to a few of the nursing homes in Athens.  Quinn stole the show!  He knew several of the songs and would sing those, the ones that he didn't know he just danced.  And let me tell you, that boy has some of the best moves ever.

Following caroling, we had a fellowship meal together and by the time we left to go home, I know that illness was on the horizon.

I woke up on Monday with the crud.  You know exactly what I am talking about, so I don't really see a need for details.  But, I had a haircut appointment, so I had to get out of the bed.  Which I did.  And then I returned home, got back in the bed around 3 and stayed there.  For a long time.  Like 18 hours.

Yesterday I got up, but barely.

We'll see how today goes.

So far this break, we have battled pink eye and the crud.  The bright side to all of this is that we are not having to take sick days.

The not so bright side is that I had big plans for this break and am now days behind.

Ugh.

I have noticed that being sick during the holidays helps me realize that all the stuff I had planned was not really so important and that Christmas still comes even if all the errands are not completed. At least you were able to get your hair done. Now that is important, says the woman staring at her roots everyday!
ps-I am signing in as Julie but it is really me, her mother.

I was about to say....Julie has roots?? omg! :) I don't think you guys have made a payment to RFC in a while. You should head up there yourself and get medicated! At the very least, they can give you something to help relieve the symptoms so you can feel alive. :) Either way, feel better! I'm making PW Cinnamon Rolls for Sat!
