So at the end of the lovely street with the red leafed trees, there was a Honda dealership. I suggested that we stop by to look because
1. we are never in the area of that particular dealership (with a huge inventory)
2. we are never in the area without children
And so we stopped. And found a perfect 2007 Pilot...one owner...not too terrible on miles...and the payment would be almost $200 lower a month than the van.
Sold.
I mean, it wasn't quite that easy, but it kind of was. We looked. We talked to someone. We went home. We looked a few things up, got a few opinions, discussed. And then went back up there...test drove a few vehicles, made decisions, signed a billion papers, and then went to On the Border for a celebratory dinner. At 9:30pm.
I had the avocado fries and a skinny margarita. Kind of like ordering a diet coke with mcdonald's, I think. But oh so good.
When we pulled into the driveway we realized that we did not have a garage door opener with us. Or house keys.
I'm not gonna lie. That kind of sucked.
We drove the twenty minutes to Chris's parents' house to get a key and then the twenty minutes home and I think we were both ready to collapse.

Saturday I went to the bead show with my bead show partner, Erin, and her mother (also my friend), Omie. We had such fun! I can't wait for you to see all of the fantastic things that I bought at the show. I want to stay home all week and play with beads.
And then had lunch at Mellow Mushroom. Hooray! I had the avocado hoagie. {Are you noticing a pattern???}

Chris ran some errands in Athens (aka, went to the growler) and brought home Inoko (hibachi) for dinner. We caught up on some Jimmy Fallon. I love him. Just in case you were wondering about that. Now you know...and you don't have to wonder any more.

I am so jealous of your childless weekend. I mean, you got to eat what you wanted and drink and be merry and all that stuff. Ugh. Will Mimi take my kids too?
Congrats on the new car!! And the great weekend! Sounds like it was all very productive and fun too. Isn't that the best feeling?
